President Barrow to Electrify Gambia Before 2025

As he continues his annul meet the people’s tour, President Adama Barrow has promised to electrify the whole Gambia before 2025.

He made this promise as he announced a whopping D10 billion ($200,000 million) electrification project for the country.

Speaking to political rally in Essau, President Barrow said: “The plan I have for electrification and the money for it is huge because if you check it in dollars it will be equivalent to $200,000 that’s D10 billion.”

“My office has some projects here and we will provide electricity to 10 communities. But the promise I am going to offer you is that in the area of electricity before 2025, even a single home in the bush will be electrified, Before 2025. Either you agree or not you will get electricity,” he added.

The President is a accompanied on the tour by a huge crowd and the tour will continue for the next 30 days throughout the country to offer his government’s projects and polices and hear from public needs and plights as mandated by the country’s constitution.

The President from Essau proceeded to Fass Njaga Choi before he ended his day meeting in Niumi Lamin. He is expected today to hold his first (Wednesday) meeting in Kerr Ngor in Jokadu before crossing into the Baddibu.

Meanwhile, Honorable Hamat Bah reflected back on the past that: “I have told you in 2018 that President Adama Barrow will not leave office in 3 years, he will serve 5 years but some people disputed me and went to form an organisation call 3 years ‘Jotna’,” Mr Bah told the rally.

“I told them Adama Barrow is here to serve 5 years and I am telling you another word: 2021 Adama Barrow will win (next presidential election) victory that has never happened in the history of The Gambia,” he added.

“For that case come join the bus before it gets full,” he said.
