Jokadou Gets New Head Chief

Alpha Mariam Khan, has been appointed as head chief of Jokadou and his appointment was also welcomed everyone including his family members of Khan Kunda, Kuntair family who has hold  the throne for 56 years on rational basis.

He urged the citizens of Jokadou to put aside their political differences and work for the advancement of Jokadou and support the ongoing reconciliation to enhance peace and security.

Chief Khan commended President Adama Barrow and government his trust and confidence bestowed on him to serve the peoples of Jokadou as head chief.

He described the contribution of the retired head chief Jim fatma Jobe who served as his mentor and acting chief Saku Gaye for their leadership quality in fostering cooperation and understanding on the implementation of government policies and programs.

Chief Khan disclosed plan to engage inter party committee to enlighten political tolerance and respect.

Chief Khan served Kerr Jarga ward as ward chairman and ward Councillor at Kerewan Area Council for over seven years and people’s Jokadou commended him for his development projects that he provided as former councilor.

The first chief of Kuntair was Alpha Nala Khan who ruled for 16 years and Abu Khan 40 years
