Travelers including Gambians and non-Gambians quarantine in one of the hotels on Monday following their arrival in the country have complained of bad conditions of the hotel.

The hotel (name withheld) is one of the facilities the government has arranged for quarantine of people arriving in the country.

But some of the travellers quarantine in this hotel are unhappy about their living condition at the hotel.

Ousainou Sheikh Cham said he was in Germany and his child is sick since January and at the airport he said he told them that his child has a problem as he drinks only milk.

His complaint, according to him is that he will be quarantined for two weeks “and my child’s food will finish in a week. And I told them I cannot be here for two weeks because my child’s food would finish in one week.”

As he was pointing to his child, he noted that since Monday his child has not been given anything to eat,

Among others in quarantine is Gamou Gaye who said they were taken from the airport but to various allocated hotels and since their arrival in this hotel (name withheld) they haven’t seen anything from what they were promised.

“The food is a little bit better but the problem is the houses, the fridges and TVs were taken out before our arrival,” he said.

More so he disclosed that they were been given each a single gallon of water since they were quarantine there, until they started making it an issue before they start bringing them additional water.
