A woman was detained and released on bail after she was alleged for stealing a new-born child at Kuntaur major health centre. The incidence is believed to have happened on 2nd May, 2020.
According to the source who spoke to The Voice said the alleged woman took the baby child from the mother with the pretence of been one of the health officials of the health centre.
“The mother of the child was in her bed at the health centre and the woman just entered the maternal room and requested the child from the mother who handed over the baby to her thinking she is a nurse,” the source said.
The source added that: “When the matter was taken to the police station, police rushed to the Wassu Highway where they found the woman and arrested her from the horse cart he boarded with the child wrapped in a cloth.”
The source went further that the alleged thief was detained but later granted bailed, the source added.
