COVID19:  Ahmadiyat Muslim Jamaat donate food items to families in NBR

Ahmadiyat Muslim Jamaat donated 100 bags of 25 kilos bags of rice, 100 bottle of 1litre for household in Nuimi and Badibous North Bank Region, as contribution to most vulnerable families to complement government efforts in the fight against COVID19.

The presentation was graced by Governor Ebrima KS Dampha who also doubles as chairperson of Regional Taskforce on COVID19. The presentation was held in Kerewan north bank region.

Speaking at presentation ceremony, the Amir of Ahmadiyat Jamaat, Baba F Trawally said the fight against COVID19 calls for concerted efforts of all to support government during this difficult moment.

He said the donation of food items is in fulfilment to the principles and teaching of Islam.

He noted that people should adhere to WHO and Ministry of health guidelines to contain the spread of virus.

He commended government for the relief package and noted that government alone cannot do it.

The Amir Trawally urged the public to be steadfast and maintain peace and stability and to be God fearing.
He assured that Jamaat would continue to provide support and also would strengthen teaching of Islam.

Chief Fabala Fadia Kinteh of Lower Badibou noted that the support provided by the Jamaat would supplement the welfare of families.

Governor Ebrima KS Dampha stated that the support to families at this trying moment would contribute to make a difference on the lives of people’s.

Governor Dampha hailed the huge contribution by the Jamaat and noted that his office would contribute to religious tolerance. The support would strengthen the capacity of regional taskforce to ensure people’s welfare is improved.
