‘Let’s not utilize this for any game, because our lives are threatening’-Hon Sallah

The lawmaker for Serrekunda has advised Gambians to join hands in fight against the deadly coronavirus and not used the moment to make any game out of the moment.

Speaking at the Natinal Assembly on Monday, Honourable Halifa Sallah said “political partisanship must disappear, let’s not utilize this for any game because our lives are threatening.”

Honourable Sallah’s advice come two days after the house has slashed the government 90 days demand to 45 days as an extension to the public State of Emergency that seeks to stop the spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, he said “let’s agree that for this matter we are now together in it to ensure that what we do will be an example in the world that will achieve the goal for proper safety basic that must be achieved.

He advised further that hand washing should become a culture so that everywhere people can wash their hands before entering any public place with thermometer everywhere for checking.

According to him checking can be done at public places like markets as “lots of people can be checked, we may not be able to do Universal checking, but in all public places we can continue to do the checking.”
