GAP pledges support to government in fight against Coronavirus

The Gambia Action Party (GAP) has pledged to join government to fight the global enemy of coronavirus which has been tearing the world for months now.

Babucarr Bayo , GAP spokesman in a brief interview told The Voice that “We are not looking for any proximity as an opposition party  to the Government but to complement the strategic efforts of the Government as  this requires a collective  efforts to strengthen sensitization mechanisms  through the Ministry of Health to provide safe and free environment  from COVID- 19 miseries.”

He challenged other political parties to join the government by involving their party leadership and militants to sensitize the communities in order to minimise the risk of spreading this virus. Also, he added, to follow the basic precautionary measures as advised by the WHO for the interest of the country.
