Police have arrested and detained Buba Drammeh who is suspected of killing Buba Jammeh in a communal land dispute in Gunjur.
Buba Jammeh a law student at the University of The Gambia and a native of Gunjur was shot death at a point-blank during a land dispute between Gunjur and Berending in Kombo South District in 2019.
Police spokesman ASP Lamin Njie said: “Buba Drammeh is helping the police in their investigations while commends the public on behalf of the Inspector General of Police for their support during the manhunt of the alleged culprit.”
ASP Njie added that Mr Drammeh was apprehended by Police Anti-Crime unit in Berending over the weekend during the community’s annual cultural festival.
