Dr Tangara and Cuban Ambassador say bilateral ties is friendly

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Mamadou Tangara and Cuban ambassador Rubén G. Abelenda both described Gambia-Cuba relationship as very friendly and supportive.

The duo made the congratulatory comments about the relationship of the two nations in Banjul as Gambian foreign minister Dr Tangara received Cuban ambassador Abelenda.

It marks 40th Anniversary of diplomatic Relations between the two countries.

In this regard, they congratulated the newly signed Health Agreement, which they considered clear evidence of the positive state of ties between their respective governments and peoples, twinned by their history, their roots, their culture and a friendship based on respect, and mutual help.

The minister of Foreign Affairs also recalled with love his first official visit to Cuba, made last July, and also highlighted the profitable trips to Havana of his similar Health, and Youth and Sports.

For his part, the Ambassador of Major Antilles thanked Tangara for Gambia’s solidarity with Cuba in all international settings.
