Illiasa Minor Health Centre Boosted with D50, 000

The Consular General of Cyprus and Gambian business tycoon Salifu K Jaiteh has donated D50, 000 to Illiasa Minor Health Centre through the office of Chairman of Kerewan Area Council.

Popularly known as S.K.Jaiteh, he is the representative of business community at Kerewan Area Council and he said the money is meant to support council respond to the development needs of taxpayers.

The money is meant to support unfinished admission building that has been started by Illiasa citizen in France.

Chief Ebrima Ansu Tamba Jammeh of Upper Baddibou and chairman of Catchment Area Committee of the health facility, commended S.K. Jaiteh for the donation, revealing that the structure has been there for 10 years.

He further commended the Chairman of Kerewan Area Council for chosen the facility and assured of judicious use of fund.

Chief Jammeh also thanked the Illiasa citizen in France for their support to the facility.

Malamin IL Bojang Chairman of Kerewan Area Council hailed Salifu K Jaiteh for his unflinching support to Council, saying that the donation would help build confidence of taxpayers in the council.

He said the contribution to the building will support the facility management.

Yakuba Ceesay, Officer In charge commended the donor and Council for identifying the facility, adding that accommodation for patients and office remain a biggest challenge.

He said the completion of the building would provide space and ease referral rate to Farafenni General Hospital.
