Conteh family Construct children ward at Kerewan Health Centre

The Conteh family’s Banni and Kinteh Kunda Janneh Ya have funded the construction of children ward at Kerewan Health Centre in the North Bank region.

The project is headed by the leadership of Lang Conteh of Petro Gas and family meant to give back to the community and contributes to strengthen health care service delivery.

The construction of the children ward was conceived following consultative meeting with Catchment Area Committees and staff of health facility, as the need for children ward was high on the facility expansion drive.

Lang Conteh has highlighted the important the family attached by giving back to the communities in the form of infrastructure by strengthen health care services for children.

He said the construction of children ward was dedicated to his late father Alhagie Kemo Memorial Children ward and it  cater for modern facility for children to have playing ground.

Chief Fabala Fadia Kinteh of Lower Baddibou and chairman of Catchment  Area Committees commended  Conteh families  of Kinteh Kunda, Janneh Ya and Banni for a noble initiative of strengthen service provision for health care services.

Modou Njai regional health director for North Bank Region also commended the family for the construction in complementing health sector in attaining quality health care services.

He said construction once complete will ease burden on the current ward that accommodate adult, women and children.

Governor Ebrima K S Dampha hailed the people and family for their support to health sector, noting that the move demonstrated the family commitment of giving back to their people.

He uses the moment to call on those in the Diaspora to support and strengthen capacity in health, education and Agriculture to help improve lives and health of the population.
