German Based Sukutarian Donates Trophies to SYSA

The Sukuta Youths and Sports Association (SYSA) have commanded a native of Sukuta native based in Deutschland Mr. Lamin Cham for donating nine (9) trophies and jersey on Tuesday, 29th January, 2019.

According to officials the donation to SYSA was made possible with the intervention of the organization president Mr. Lamin Cham who personally lobbies on behalf of the community.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, SYSA assistant public relation officer Yankuba Singhateh, known as Tangal, commended  the donor for giving back to his community in this way as football brings a lot of youths together which could lead to harmony.

He also said this will marked the beginning of his willingness to support Sukuta. “I shall be coming back with different initiative for the interest of the community.” “Supporting football should not be a surprise as he has had a brief football career in Sukuta he said.

BaSainey Cham, President of SYSA has expressed his appreciation on behalf of his executives to the donor. He further stated that, the trophies would go a long way in promoting sports, because a host of individual accolades will be awarded to deserving players.

He is called on Gambian to emulate such moves towards the development of football. The former Demba-Du goal keeper praises on Omar Bah Cham ( Zumal) and Baba Sinkala Jarju and his wife Gabi for paving the way.

Meanwhile, SYSA is preparing for the upcoming league cup final between Manchester and Dar on Saturday, 8 February, 2019 at the Demba-Du mini stadium.
