ABIDING WORD MINISTRIES MARKS 30 YEARS OF EXISTENCE

Abiding Word Ministries (AWM) has marked 30 years of its existence on the 5th November, 2018.

Francis Forbes, Senior Pastor and Founder of AWM   told The Voice that the Ministry has touched every country of the world.

When asked about how AWM is contributing to the welfare of Gambians.

The Ministry according to him has touched every country of the world. The Pastor highlighted some of the numerous projects undertaken by the ministry which includes sponsoring of needy students and the assisting of refugees especially during the Sierra Leone civil war.

He pointed out that AWM is a trusted ministry worldwide and that was the reason they have been successful in their mission to make Jesus Christ known to the entire world.

On this day the pastor is however grateful to the country, the government and her people for endorsing them. We wanted to make this country beautiful and on behalf of the ministry.

Forbes returns thanks to God for all the favors in bestowing the ministry with tremendous success and achievements.

He recalled that it was his vision way back in 1988 when he returned from university education, he founded AWM on November 5th 1988 and the inauguration was held in a classroom at YMCA with only seven people in attendance.

The learned pastor said he is extremely grateful to God for changing thousands of lives through his ministry.

Abiding Word Ministries, The Gambia on Monday began celebrating how far they have come since the church was set up 30 years ago.

AWM is an indigenous and nationalistic full gospel church established in November 1988, to “bring purpose, direction and joy to believers by provoking them into maximizing their God-given potential in skill development, productivity, self-sufficiency, and confidence in God.”
