Wuli East Vow to Revenge against Armed Robbers

The communities of Wuli East District in the Upper River Region (URR) north has vow to revenge any attack carried out by the notorious armed robbers within their communities.

The communities made this remarks recently during an exclusive interview with our reporter in Gunjur Koto and Baja-Kunda all in the Wuli East District respectively.

Speaking to our reporter at Gunjur Koto village in Wuli East District, one Sinchu Bah said two of his wife’s sheep were stolen by the armed robbers last week Wednesday at the outskirt of the village.

He described the actions of the armed robbers within their localities as disturbing while Jajeh Dem a herdsman at Gunjur Koto informed our reporter that the armed robbers took away four sheep from his cattle just at the outskirt of the village.

The alkalo of Gunjur Koto and Welingara Yareh villages all in Wuli East District, Musa Saho and Musa Wally complained of rampant armed robbery in their communities.

The two alkalo vow that they will not allow any bandit to come to their communities and take away their properties adding that taking the armed robbers to Police is waste of time for them.

“If you take the thief to the Police in this region he will be given a bail but after his bail nothing does come out of it and what next is to be with the said thief in the village forever,” alkalo Wally and Saho informed our reporter.

At Baja Kunda village, one Abdoulie Gundo Bajaha complained of constant armed robbery in their community but vow that they are now ready to revenge against them.

Baja Kunda elderly man, Abdoulie Gundo Bajaha expressed his complete dissatisfaction of Police in the region thus the way they handled their case with the armed robbers.

According to Gundo Bajaha, the armed robbers stole their animals and six solar panels among other valuable properties within their localities while alerting his villagers to be ready of any possible revenge against any attackers meted out to his communities by bandits.
