Fye Network (FyeN), in partnership with Q Group, is set to launch a new children’s book highlighting the entrepreneurial journey of Gambian businessman and business leader Muhammed Jah.
Titled The Story of Muhammed Jah: From Little Ideas, Big Things Grow, the book introduces young readers to Jah’s early experiences, ideas, determination and journey in entrepreneurship.
Through an illustrated narrative, the book promotes the message that big achievements can grow from small ideas when young people believe in themselves and have the courage to pursue their dreams.
The book explores themes including perseverance, creativity, innovation, leadership, ambition and self-belief, while giving young Gambians an opportunity to see a successful individual from their own community represented in a story created specifically for children.
The launch will also mark the beginning of the Q Read Initiative, an impact campaign aimed at distributing 10,000 copies of the book to children across all seven administrative regions of The Gambia.
FyeN and Q Group are inviting businesses, organisations, foundations, schools, community leaders and individuals to support the initiative by sponsoring the purchase and distribution of books to schools, libraries and communities.
The initiative is based on the belief that children’s books can inspire ambition, build confidence, celebrate African achievements and encourage young people to imagine and pursue their own possibilities.
FyeN is a Gambian, women-led creative media company founded by sisters YaAdam and Anna Fye. The company produces original books, animation and educational media aimed at children and families.
