Gambia Football Federation (GFF) presidential aspirant Kemo Ceesay has pledged to unite the country’s football community and introduce major reforms within his first 100 days in office if elected to lead the federation.
Speaking to GamFoot, Ceesay said his vision was to establish a more transparent and inclusive football administration focused on development and stakeholder engagement.
“When I win the election, the first 100 days will show a big transformation in Gambian football. You will see a clear pathway for development,” he said.
Ceesay acknowledged existing divisions within the football community, saying his administration would prioritise rebuilding trust, promoting collaboration and ensuring that all stakeholders participate in shaping the future of Gambian football.
As part of his commitment to transparency, the presidential hopeful said he would introduce a regular “Sports Bantaba” platform to bring together the GFF, football stakeholders, online media practitioners, content creators, supporters and members of the Gambian diaspora.
He said the forum would provide updates on FIFA funding, development programmes and the federation’s financial management, while allowing participants to ask questions, share ideas and contribute to decision-making processes.
The GFF presidential election is expected to determine the future leadership direction of Gambian football administration.
