A courtesy visit by Coalition 2026 in the North Bank Region has attracted a large crowd of residents and supporters, which becomes more of a political rally ahead of the December 5 presidential election.
The visit comes after Coalition 2026 ratified its Political Alliance Agreement involving eight political parties and movements.
Talib Ahmed Bensouda has been confirmed as the coalition’s flagbearer for the presidential election.
The engagement brought together residents, party supporters and coalition loyalists, with the crowd growing as the program progressed and eventually leaving the venue overcrowded.
Supporters chanted slogans and waved banners in support of Coalition 2026 and Mr. Bensouda, turning the planned courtesy engagement into a public political gathering.
The North Bank Region visit formed part of the coalition’s activities ahead of the December election.
