Four Gambian players — Fatou Fatty, Lucy Saidy, Juwana Colley and Veronica Sambou — have celebrated their first major title in Sierra Leone after helping RAM Kamara FC win the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Unity Cup.
The Gambian quartet played a key role as RAM Kamara secured a 2-1 victory over defending champions Mogbwemo Queens at the Southern Arena in Bo City on Saturday.
Fatou Fatty opened the scoring for RAM Kamara, giving her side an early lead before Kadiatu G. Kamara doubled the advantage.
Mogbwemo Queens reduced the deficit through an own goal by Emma JK Kamara, setting up a tense finish.
RAM Kamara, however, held on to secure the victory and lift the Unity Cup for the first time.
The triumph marks a significant milestone for Fatty, Saidy, Colley and Sambou, who have added a Sierra Leone title to their respective football careers.
RAM Kamara finished as runners-up in the competition last season but went one step further this year by securing their maiden Unity Cup title.
