Minifootball is set to take a step towards its official establishment in The Gambia with an engagement meeting scheduled for 3 October 2026.
The meeting follows the nomination of Sadibou Kamaso as representative for the establishment of a Minifootball Association in The Gambia.
The engagement is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the PIA Office of the President’s Award Scheme, opposite the Independence Stadium, and is expected to bring together players, coaches, administrators, fans and other sports stakeholders.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to formally introduce minifootball to stakeholders and discuss plans for the development and organisation of the sport in the country.
Key items on the agenda include the presentation of the Minifootball Statutes, discussions on the way forward for the sport and the proposed establishment of an Executive Committee to oversee its affairs.
The meeting is expected to lay the foundation for the formal organisation and development of minifootball in The Gambia.
Players, coaches, administrators, sports stakeholders, fans and members of the public interested in the sport have been invited to attend the engagement.
