Gambian midfielder Mariama Saruba Jarju has completed a one-year loan move from City Girls Football Club to Liberian side Ravia Angels.
Jarju, who has been playing for City Girls FC in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s Second Division, will spend the next season with Ravia Angels as she continues her development outside The Gambia.
The move provides the midfielder with an opportunity to experience a different competitive environment and gain valuable exposure in Liberian women’s football.
Jarju has developed through the domestic women’s football structure and will now seek to build on that experience while contributing to Ravia Angels’ campaign.
Her move is another indication of the growing opportunities for Gambian women’s footballers to pursue professional and competitive opportunities in neighbouring countries.
The loan spell is expected to give Jarju further experience and exposure as she continues to develop her career.
