Jaringtong continued their impressive start to the 2026 SWESO Nawettan League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Kanifing L.Y.T, while Old Jeshwang and Juma Bi played to a goalless draw on Tuesday.
Jaringtong produced a disciplined performance to secure all three points, scoring once in each half to claim a comfortable victory.
Muhammed Jobarteh opened the scoring in the 28th minute, giving Jaringtong a 1-0 lead heading into half-time.
Jaringtong maintained their composure after the break and continued to apply pressure on their opponents.
Their persistence paid off in the 56th minute when Mamadou Drammeh doubled the lead to put the match beyond Kanifing L.Y.T’s reach.
Kanifing L.Y.T were unable to find a way back into the contest as Jaringtong defended their advantage until the final whistle to secure a clean sheet and three valuable points.
In the day’s other fixture, Old Jeshwang and Juma Bi settled for a 0-0 draw.
Both sides displayed defensive discipline and created opportunities but were unable to find the decisive finish, sharing the points at the end of the encounter.
