Gambian midfielder Mustapha Badjie has completed a permanent transfer from Real de Banjul FC to Czech second division side FK Viktoria Žižkov, the club has announced.
The move marks Badjie’s first professional stint in the Czech Republic and another step in the growing presence of Gambian footballers in European leagues.
The young midfielder joins Viktoria Žižkov as the club strengthens its squad ahead of the 2026/27 season in a bid to improve its performance in the Czech second division.
Badjie will reunite with fellow Gambian international Ousman Kujabi, who recently joined the Prague-based club from Slovak side FK Železiarne Podbrezová during the current transfer window.
The presence of Kujabi is expected to ease Badjie’s integration into his new environment as the two players begin a new chapter of their careers in Czech football.
Badjie leaves Real de Banjul after establishing himself as one of the club’s promising midfielders, with the transfer providing him an opportunity to further his development in European football.
The signing also reflects the growing interest of European clubs in young Gambian players as they continue to attract attention for their technical ability and potential.
