Gambian striker Joof has retained the league’s Golden Boot after finishing as top scorer in the 2025/26 GFF Men’s Second Division with 21 goals, confirming his status as one of the country’s most prolific forwards.
The forward’s 21-goal tally saw him lead the scoring charts comfortably, capping a standout individual campaign in which he consistently delivered for his side throughout the season.
Joof’s latest accolade comes a year after he emerged top scorer in the 2024/25 GFF Men’s First Division, where he netted 12 goals for GAF. Despite his efforts, GAF were relegated at the end of that campaign.
Following the drop, the striker responded with an improved goal return in the Second Division, increasing his tally to 21 and once again finishing as the league’s leading scorer.
His back-to-back Golden Boots across two divisions underline his consistency, finishing ability and adaptability across different levels of Gambian football.
