Police FC, Koita FC, Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) and Darboes FC have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Women’s FF Cup following victories in their Round of 16 matches.
At Yundum, Police FC defeated Brikama United 3-0 after a goalless first half. Fatou Jagne opened the scoring in the 56th minute before Nyima Sanneh doubled the lead in the 75th minute. Isatou Jallow added a third goal three minutes from time to seal the victory.
Koita FC secured a 2-0 win over Lower Niumi at Bakau. Ramatoulie Drame gave Koita FC the lead in the 36th minute, while Emily Jatta scored the second goal in first-half stoppage time.
At Basori, GAF advanced after defeating Future Bi 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw. Ausai Sanneh put Future Bi ahead from the penalty spot in the 24th minute before Abissey Jarju equalised for GAF in the 80th minute.
In Gunjur, Darboes FC overcame Yakarr FC 5-4 on penalties after the match ended 1-1. Lucy Pereira gave Darboes FC the lead in the 21st minute, but Monica Mendy equalised for Yakarr FC seven minutes from time.
The four teams join the list of clubs through to the quarter-final stage of the competition.
