Mamma Kandeh, leader of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC), has outlined what he describes as key benchmarks that will define the early direction of his administration if elected president in the 2026 elections.
In a strategic statement shared with The Voice, the party says Kandeh is committed to delivering what it termed a “nation that works for everyone rather than a privileged few” within his first 100 days in office.
According to the statement, the GDC leader intends to focus on establishing the foundation for what the party described as a stronger, fairer, and more prosperous country.
“The task ahead will not be easy, but our first 100 days in office will lay the foundation for a stronger, fairer, and more prosperous future for all Gambians,” the party said.
The GDC said Kandeh’s leadership would be guided by principles of action, accountability, and public service, adding that he was determined to translate campaign commitments into tangible results if given the mandate.
The party also urged voters to support its candidate in the upcoming presidential election, saying it would continue to engage the public on its policy agenda and governance plans.
As political activity intensifies ahead of the 2026 polls, both opposition parties and the ruling sides are expected to step up campaigns aimed at winning public support.
