Medina United moved to the top of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League after a dramatic Week 24 round of fixtures marked by comeback wins, decisive braces and a reshuffle at both ends of the table.
Medina United secured a 2–1 comeback victory over Fortune at the Ousman Saho Football Field, a result that lifted them to 40 points, two clear of nearest challengers Bombada. Former Fortune player Ebou Sanyang played a key role in inspiring Medina United’s turnaround against his former club.

After a goalless first half, Abdoulie Jassey opened the scoring in the 66th minute before Lamin Saidy doubled the lead four minutes later. GPA pulled one back through Mamadi Chorr, but Moses Jatta sealed the win for Greater Tomorrow in stoppage time.
At the Bakau Mini Stadium, Steve Biko earned a vital 2–0 victory over TMT, with Pa Yusupha Jammeh scoring twice in the first half to guide his side to three points and ease their relegation concerns.
Elsewhere, Brikama United and Falcons played out a 0–0 draw in a tightly contested match at the Box Bar Mini Stadium.
Following the results, Bombada sit second with 38 points, while Brikama United, Fortune and GPA are level on 37 points each.
