Gambian goalkeeper Baboucarr Gueye played a decisive role on Wednesday as FK Shkendija secured qualification to the final of the North Macedonian Cup following a 2–0 victory over city rivals KF Shkendija, sealing a 5–2 aggregate win.
Gueye delivered a composed performance in goal to help his side maintain a clean sheet in the derby encounter. The Gambian shot-stopper showed assurance throughout the match, contributing to his team’s control of the game as they protected their first-leg advantage.
The result confirms FK Shkendija’s place in the cup final, where they will compete for domestic silverware after a strong two-legged display against their local rivals.
Gueye’s performances have been instrumental during the club’s cup campaign, with the goalkeeper consistently featuring in key matches and helping to stabilise the team defensively.
