Walimang FC of Farafenni have made a strong start to their second season in the NBR Third Division League, remaining unbeaten after five matches.
The team has recorded four wins and one draw, earning 13 points and sitting second on the table, level with league leaders King Power FC but trailing on goal difference. Their performance underscores the squad’s growing reputation as a disciplined and ambitious side.
Head coach Bakary Dibba, popularly known as “Isco,” said the team is aiming to finish at the top of the standings. “Our players understand the task ahead,” he noted, emphasizing the importance of discipline, teamwork, and focus.
Walimang FC’s current form builds on last season’s achievements, when they finished top of the table and qualified for the semi-final playoffs, before being eliminated by Rockland. That experience has strengthened the team’s resolve and mental readiness for the current campaign.
The club has set clear objectives for the season: to finish first in the league, advance through the semi-finals, reach the final triangle stage, and secure promotion to the GFF Second Division.
