Week 11: Future Bi hammer Mansa Wally 5-0, Sallahs edge Rakie as leaders draw

Future Bi thrashed bottom side Mansa Wally 5-0, while Sallahs secured a late 2-1 win over Rakie as the top two sides played out a goalless draw in week 11 of the GFF Women’s Second Division League on Saturday.

Future Bi maintained their unbeaten run with a fifth consecutive victory after a dominant display in Brusubi.

A brace from Maimuna Dukureh and a 58th-minute strike by Anna Bojang handed Future Bi a comfortable lead. Ausai Sanneh added the fourth goal two minutes later before substitute Fatou Badjie sealed the emphatic win deep into stoppage time.

At the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, Sallahs returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over fellow newcomers Rakie.

Elly Joof opened the scoring for Sallahs in the seventh minute, but Awa Faal restored parity for Rakie in the 52nd minute. With the match seemingly heading for a draw, Sainabou Faal netted a stoppage-time winner to hand Sallahs maximum points.

In Old Yundum, leaders Gambia Armed Forces and Prisons shared the spoils in a tense top-of-the-table clash at the Ousman Saho Football Field, playing to a 0-0 draw.

Lower Niumi and Jeshwang United also settled for a goalless stalemate in their encounter at the Soma Mini Stadium.
