Belgian Friends of The Gambia (BFoTG) on Tuesday donated computer lab equipment, educational materials, and tools for woodworking, metalwork, and gardening to several schools in the West Coast Region and Kanifing Municipality.

The handover ceremony took place at the BFoTG campus, where officials presented the items to beneficiary institutions, including New Yundum Lower Basic School, Bakoteh Proper and Upper Basic Schools, Bakoteh Senior Secondary School, St. Therese Lower and Upper Basic Schools, and Latri-Kunda German Lower Basic School.

In addition, BFoTG provided 252 bags of rice to students sponsored at New Yundum Lower Basic School.

The organisation also supported new beneficiaries for the first time. It visited St. Therese Upper Basic School to launch a new project and Widar Nursery School in Kotu Quarry, donating educational materials such as reading books, toys, and backpacks.

Over the weekend, BFoTG distributed 40 sponsor boxes at Nyodema Nursery School for students attending Bakoteh Annex Lower Basic School.

Heads of the beneficiary schools expressed gratitude to BFoTG chairman Patrick de Vos, Christa, and the Belgian sponsors, pledging that the materials would be properly utilised.
