ASM Athletic Football Club has reaffirmed its neutral stance ahead of the upcoming Kanifing Municipality Regional Football Association (KMRFA) presidential elections.

In a statement, the Club said it has not endorsed or aligned with any candidate and remains committed to neutrality, fairness, and respect for democratic principles.

“We welcome the presentation of manifestos from all contesting parties. ASM Athletic FC will evaluate each candidate based on merit, vision, and potential impact on KM football, without bias,” the statement read.

The Club added that all candidates and their manifestos will be treated equally and objectively. It stressed that the credibility of the electoral process is strengthened when institutions refrain from premature endorsements.

ASM Athletic, a third-division team based in KM, confirmed that its participation in the election will be through secret voting, in line with best governance practices and democratic standards. This approach, the Club said, ensures independent choice and protects institutional integrity.

The Club emphasized its focus on professionalism and the long-term development of Gambian football and called on all stakeholders to uphold transparency and sportsmanship.

ASM Athletic also dismissed rumours of any alliance, stating that only communications issued through the Club’s official channels are valid.
