Ebrima Jatta, head coach of Real De Banjul Football Club (RDB), has set his sights on defending the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division One title, emphasizing the club’s ambition to achieve back-to-back championships.

In a post-match interview, Jatta said the team’s primary objective this season is to win the league and increase their goal tally. “This year’s objective is all about the title. We are already on top in the Gambia, and we aim to score more than 56 goals,” he stated.

Jatta added that RDB intends to maintain an attacking style in matches when needed, citing the three goals scored in their opening fixture as evidence of their approach. He also stressed the importance of defensive solidity, noting plans to register more clean sheets than in previous seasons.

The coach further explained that his team carefully studies opponents while expecting full commitment from players on the field. “We have a model to understand. If you don’t understand, you are on the bench or off the field,” he said.

Jatta concluded by highlighting that every match is crucial in the pursuit of the title, adding that the squad is mentally and physically prepared for the challenges ahead.
