David Jeng becomes Fellow of Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership

In an outstanding professional achievement that underscores his exceptional contributions, Gambian-based entrepreneur and international business consultant, David Jeng, has been inducted as a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership.

This prestigious recognition is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary technical expertise, leadership, and transformative impact, solidifying Jeng’s position as one of the leading authorities in management and leadership both in Gambia and internationally.

Jeng with membership number; CIML/MA/F/01263ID satisfied the necessary requirements to become a fellow.

The institution said: “Having satisfied the requirements of the council respecting professional qualifications.

“David is admitted as a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership, together with all the rights and privileges appertaining there unto, and in accordance to the bylaws.

“He is hereby authorized to use the designation to use the FCIML after his name.

“Given under our hand and cooperate seal at Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States of America on October 2022”.

The certificate was signed by the President, Ramona Bisau.

Jeng is the founder and managing consultant of Bliss Executives. He also serves as managing director of Chapman Xpress Financial Services. Jeng has been active in business development and entrepreneurship for nine years, with particular expertise in innovation, intellectual property, and small and medium enterprise (SME) development across Africa.

Reflecting on the honour, Jeng expressed appreciation to the institute, noting that the recognition would spur him to do more as a Gambian entrepreneur, international business consultant and intellectual property expert.

He assured of a true representation of the institute and unwavering support for initiatives geared towards nurturing entrepreneurs and supporting start-ups.

Jeng said: “Being named a Fellow is both an honor and a responsibility. It is not just a recognition of the years of hard work, but it also motivates me to further my commitment to nurturing talents across Africa. It encourages me to develop innovative solutions to some of the most complex challenges we face today while mentoring and guiding the next generation of entrepreneurs.”

Jeng’s journey to this moment is a testament to his unwavering dedication, vast technical knowledge, and commitment to entrepreneurial drive.

His academic foundation is reinforced by an impressive array of industry certifications including being a certified UNCTAD-Empretec National Master Trainer. He is also a certified ILO-SIYB Trainer, SME Loop Business Trainer and Coach, and holds credentials in design thinking, food safety, quality management, and other business development tools. He is also Certified as a Creative Intelligence Coach by CLCICC and recognised by Maimi University as WCI Creative Champion.

His leadership and contributions have earned him multiple accolades, including being named Leader of the Year (2023) by the West African Leadership and Empowerment Centre; Most Influential Global Leader of the Year (2023); and one of the 100 Most Influential Young Africans (2024 and 2025) by the Pan African Leadership Foundation.

This prestigious fellowship provides him with a platform to further expand his impact, allowing him to make lasting contributions to the development of entrepreneurs in African countries.
