As the electrifying Nawettan season continues, New Town FC and Top Ten FC have both claimed important victories to boost their standings ahead of their third-round fixtures.

In the afternoon clash on Sunday, New Town FC earned their first win of the tournament with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Kutajumbul FC. After a goalless first half, Saikou Saidy broke the deadlock just three minutes into the second half with a brilliant strike, securing all three points for his side. New Town now sits on four points, having drawn 1-1 against Amasa FC in their opening match.

In the evening fixture, Top Ten FC maintained their perfect start to the campaign with another impressive 1-0 win—this time over Manokang FC. Yusupha Jabbie converted a penalty in the 6th minute, which ultimately proved to be the decider in a tightly contested match. Top Ten FC now leads their group with six points from two matches.

The result marks a setback for Manokang FC, who had opened their campaign with a convincing 2-0 win against Superstars FA.
