Ousman Rambo Jatta, deputy leader of opposition APRC party has said that the return of former President Yahya Jammeh is part of the NPP/APRC MOU agreement.
Mr Jatta was responding to the words of the National People’s Party’s administrative secretary, Mambanyick Njie, who said Jammeh`s return was not part of the agreement between the two parties.
“President Jammeh’s issue on the coalition talks is non-negotiable, this is the first thing we bring on board that is where I can stop, if there were any objection on those issues it will not be necessary for us to continue, this is why we bring them first. I will tell everyone that Mambanyick did not tell the truth,” he said.
“I am the chairman of all the meetings, Samsudeen Sarr is our lead negotiator because president Jammeh assigned him to join the negotiation team. Mambanyick has never attended any of those meetings with us on behalf of NPP with regards to the coalition agreement with the APRC. I can swear for that this Wednesday morning,” he said without mincing words.
He continued: “When we were finalizing the agreement document before the press conference he was not there, yet as we have seen sycophants release a document which they alleged to be the negotiation agreement between APRC and President to join a coalition, they want to bring confusion in the government, they want to bring confusion among people actually this is also part of their trend.”
“What the agreement entails will continue to be in secret until they say President Barrow wins the election, they will say something in the future which will be worse than what Mambanyick said. When they signed the agreement with NPP all small enemies of APRC were now coming out, this shows to us as a party to open our eyes that all these “mbojombojo” parties have approached us”, that they wanted to associate with the APRC for a possible coalition.”

“Through our observation many political parties in this country don’t want this coalition because the coalition between APRC and NPP will put them off. We have seen opposition parties saying words against this coalition this is why I said we are on the right decision “we know why we went on coalition. I will tell everyone that Mambanyick did not say the truth,”
He said they have information that Fatou Jaw Manneh has resigned but that is even saying that it is because President Barrow has enemies beside him; because this agreement is chasing some of the people away from him.
Meanwhile, Rambo called on APRC militants to prepare their CV`s so that anyone who resigns they can appoint them.
