Bombada FC Upsets Defending Champions Real De Banjul

 Bombada FC secured a surprise 2-0 victory over defending champions Real De Banjul at the Brikama Boxba Mini Stadium on Monday, in a result that shocked many Gambian football enthusiasts.

After two opening draws, the Brikama-based side produced a strong performance against one of the top teams in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Men’s Division One League.

Defender Abdoulie Camara opened the scoring in the 76th minute, before captain Muhammad Tamba doubled the lead five minutes later, sealing the hard-fought win. Bombada FC maintained defensive discipline throughout, preventing the reigning champions from scoring.

In another Division One fixture at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum, former Fortune FC midfielder Ebou Sanyang scored twice to help Medina United secure a 2-1 victory over their opponents. Sanyang netted in the 9th and 57th minutes, with Modou Lamin Jatta briefly equalizing in the 52nd minute.
