The Patriotic Alliance for System Transformation Emancipation through Functionalism (PASTEF – The Gambia) has expressed gratitude to Barrister Malick H.B. Jallow, Founder and President of the Malick Jallow Foundation for Children (MJFC), for the warm reception extended to the movement’s delegation during a recent visit.

In a statement released on Sunday, December 28, 2025, PASTEF highlighted the significance of the engagement as a step toward collaborative efforts in advancing the welfare of Gambian children.

According to Mr. Mayorro Sidibeh, Public Relations Officer for PASTEF, the delegation was deeply appreciative of the fruitful discussions held with Barrister Jallow and the spirit of acceptance he demonstrated.

“This engagement marks a meaningful step in our shared commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of children,” Mr. Sidibeh said. “We look forward to working hand in hand with MJFC in forging impactful partnerships that will strengthen the timely and effective implementation of the foundation’s initiatives.”

The discussions, PASTEF noted, centred on identifying ways to collaborate on programs that safeguard children’s rights, improve access to education and healthcare, and enhance opportunities for vulnerable communities across The Gambia.

Barrister Malick Jallow welcomed the delegation and underscored the importance of partnerships in achieving the foundation’s mission. He emphasizes that addressing the needs of children requires coordinated efforts from civil society, political organizations, and community stakeholders.

PASTEF described the engagement as reinforcing the movement’s dedication to social responsibility and its commitment to ensuring that children’s welfare remains a priority in national development agendas.

“Together, we remain steadfast in our dedication to building a society where the welfare of children is prioritized as the cornerstone of sustainable development,” Mr. Sidibeh added.

PASTEF said the interaction with MJFC not only strengthened ties between the organization and the political movement but also opened avenues for future collaborative programs aimed at addressing pressing challenges affecting children.

The movement expressed optimism that the partnership would create tangible benefits for communities, particularly in areas where children are most vulnerable, while fostering innovative initiatives to enhance their education, health, and overall well-being.

Through this engagement, both PASTEF and MJFC reaffirmed their commitment to working collaboratively, leveraging their respective strengths to champion the rights of children and ensure that developmental policies translate into meaningful impact on the ground.
