The Serekunda West Sports Organisation (SWESO) on Tuesday kicked off its APS-sponsored knockout tournament with a match full of excitement and skillful displays.
Celtic FC opened their campaign against Pipeline FC in a clash that produced three goals and plenty of moments to celebrate.
Bubacarr Jatta put Celtic FC ahead in the 8th minute, and Basiru Kanteh doubled their lead just before halftime, giving the side a comfortable advantage.
Pipeline FC was reduced to ten men in the 60th minute after Sainey Camara received a second yellow card. Despite being a man down, the team showed resilience and determination to stay in the game.
Five minutes later, Sulayman Touray struck a stunning goal for Pipeline FC, giving fans a moment to cheer and bringing renewed energy to his side.
Both teams continued to battle fiercely throughout regulation time, but Celtic FC held on to secure the maximum three points, advancing to the next phase of the SWESO Nawettan knockout.
