The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Organising Committee has awarded three points and three goals to Today Makes Tomorrow (TMT) FC following a violation by Immigration FC in the Women’s League Division One, the Organising Committee announced in an official statement.
According to the GFF Organising Committee’s statement, the decision followed a thorough investigation into a protest lodged by TMT FC. The protest alleged that Immigration FC fielded an unregistered player, Rama Badjie, disguised as Mariama Singhateh during their Week 16 match.
The Organising Committee said its investigation revealed that Immigration FC breached Article 38 of the GFF Disciplinary Code, titled “Forging Documents,” which prohibits the use of forged or falsified documents in football-related activities. The statement detailed that the player listed as Mariama Singhateh, wearing jersey number 5, did not resemble the registered Mariama Singhateh in the GFF’s official FIFA Connect database for the 2024-2025 season.
Further, the Organising Committee said the individual shown in photographic evidence submitted with the protest was not registered with Immigration FC for the current season. The statement also noted that Immigration FC was invited to attend a meeting on Friday, 13 June 2025, with the Competition Department and Organising Committee to discuss the matter, but failed to appear.
Based on these findings, the Organising Committee declared the protest valid and awarded TMT FC three points and three goals for the disputed match. The committee further announced that Immigration FC has been sanctioned with a transfer ban during the mid-season transfer window of the 2025-2026 season and fined Ten Thousand Dalasis (D10,000), payable within one week of receiving the ruling.
