The Gambia Police Force reported the arrest of two suspects on Sunday in connection to the alleged murder of a Senegalese national in Suba Ward, Brikama.
On Sunday, June 8, 2025, at approximately 05:30 hrs, Brikama District Hospital received the deceased with visible injuries. The police were alerted by the nurse on duty upon the arrival of the body.
The Police said in a statement, that the Suba Ward Police Post are investigating a suspected case of murder involving a man identified as Amadou Ceesay, 39, a Senegalese national.
The statement added that preliminary reports suggest the victim was found dead in his room, and further information indicates he had sustained assault-related injuries days prior.
Crime Scene Investigators from Brikama were dispatched to access the scene, two suspects have been arrested and are currently in custody to assist with the investigation. Efforts are ongoing to locate an additional suspect,” the GPF informs.
