A charitable movement, 5P Global has donated $500 to Tujereng’s youth organising committee for the village’s 2025 unity soccer tournament.

The tournament brings together 14 teams of players from people of diverse backgrounds including health workers, drivers, plumbers, painters, police, teachers and many others.

Addressing journalists on Sunday at Tujereng Football Field, Lamin A. Sonko leader of the tournament said the concept was developed through commitment and dedication to the community of Tujereng.

“Unity and solidarity motivated me to initiate such a tournament. I know that without unity nothing can be achieved. Through unity and dedication we can achieve a lot for the development of our country. The youth needs to be engaged in something that can change their lives,” he reiterated.

He said they found it difficult to get sponsorship from local people towards financing the tournament. With all that challenges, he says he never give up.

“I expect the people to continue assisting each other in difficult moments especially when it comes to community development. Without the support of 5P Global Movement, KYK, and Innovarx Global Health, this project would not have succeeded,” he said.

“And without the solidarity of our mothers, volunteers, and youths, it would not have been possible. We should continue building a stronger relationship leaving no one behind,” he added.

Mr. Sonko expressed gratitude to all the donors for their generosity and towards the success of the tournament.
