Gambia Rural Lifestyle Reflected in Dr. Seedy Drammen’s Recent Book

Diluting his administrative function with prolific writing, the Deputy Director of Human Resource at Gambia Revenue Authority ( GRA) , Dr. Seedy Drammeh, a celebrated Gambian prolific writer has produced a recent piece titled ‘’Memoir Of  The Beautiful Lifestyle In Rural Gambia’’. This ‘Memoir’ that has generated much popular interests is recorded to be the 35th book so far written by Dr. Drammeh. 

The title of this worth reading book is a replica of the author’s rural background from Jarra Sikunda in Lower River Region (LRR).

So far, the Curriculum, Research, Evaluation and Development Directorates had approved  eleven (11) of his books on 17th  May 2022 as  additional learning materials  for upper basic schools and higher institutions of learning in the Republic of The Gambia.

In a similar vein, Dr. Drammeh had received meritorious awards from President Barrow for his participation in the review of Gambia maiden National Security Strategy and Sector Reform Strategy, and Gambia Young Writers Association in the first KuntaKinteh International Book Festival in recognition of his other book titled,’’ Contribution Of Corporate Governance, Effective Leadership, HR Management and Networking To The Advancement Of People and Institutions’’.

This celebrated Gambian writer, also received another Certificate of Appreciation for his contributions to the review and launching of a piece by a young Gambian. Dr. Drammeh told media that his recent book is a remarkable honour and privilege as a man born and nurtured in a Gambian rural setting.

However, Dr. Drammeh also featured the advantages of rural lifestyle such as moral and religious education, peaceful coexistence, domestic works, family care and respect, promotion of cultures, customs and traditions. Family and community stakeholders are catalog for the young and other members of the society.

In addition, he wrote this wonderful rural lifestyle book as he added after carried out a thorough research on the people’s lifestyles in rural Gambia irrespective of hailing from a rural setting. And that he extended his sincere thanks to Allah, his family for the inspiration, support and patience to be able to compile the book and dedicated it to the people of Jarra Sikunda, LRR and his family.
