Leigh Properties Dragged to Court

By Nicholas Bass

A Farato resident Ebrima Sillah has filed a civil suit against Leigh Properties at the BrikamaMagistrates’ Court.

According to the details of the suit, Sillah seeks to retake ownership of his plot of land situated at Sanyang village, measuring 20 X 20. He also seeks a court order for the restraining of anyone from trespassing on his plot.

Sillah said he bought 20 X 20 square meters of land at Sanyang village from Leigh Properties but that his agent’s landowner had encroached on the land by putting up a gate. He alleged that Leigh Properties Estate was aware of it.

The claimant also seeks an order from the court to enable him to have full possession of the 20 X 20 square meters he “bought” from Leigh Properties Estate with an order for the removal of the gate, sand, and gravel from his plot of land.

He also seeks D150, 000 damages.

The case continues.
