Amir Trawally presides over 45th Jalsa Salana

 Baba .F. Trawally, the Amir of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat The Gambia has presided over the 45th Jalsa Salana which was recently held at Masoor Senior Secondary School, Old Yundum

The occasion attracted hundreds of Ahmadis across the sub-regions.

Speaking at the closing of this year’s Jalsa Salana, Amir Trawally said “As Islam is a religion of Peace, Muslims ought to be peaceful, peacemakers and also ambassadors of peace wherever they may be. Peace is not only valued in Islam but in all major religions. In our beloved country people of different faiths, ethnicities, religions, creeds, and so on have lived side without any forms of trouble or conflict.  

“For us to make any progress, and move forward as a country and a nation, we should make sure that peace continues to prevail in every level of the society. We should all be peaceful and advocate for peace in our societies,” he echoed.

According to him, Islam requires Muslims to abide by its teachings and fundamental amongst them is that they must not only fulfill the rights owed to God Almighty, but just as importantly they must also fulfill the right owed to God’s creation.

He reiterated that for people to continue enjoying the peace they have always been enjoying in this country, they should continue having respect for each other as brothers and sisters.

However, Amir Baba F Trawally added that the days of the Jalsa Salana should be taken as ordinary days that are meant to teach people about the beautiful Islamic teachings and remind people about the Creator, Allah Almighty.

“As Ahmadi Muslims, we should always listen to and follow the guidance of the Khalifa of the time because it is through that by the grace of Almighty Allah that lies our success and progress in this challenging and dark world let us be in the light and let us be the hope and He is the ones that set the high standard of good moral,” he preached.
