Young entrepreneur wants agriculture that will survive dignified Living

Ajola Khan Jallow, the proprietor, and founder of “Grow her Africa” with the slogan ‘Grow Her, Grow The World’, has explained how he ventured into agriculture while she want agriculture that will survive dignified living.

Ajola who is having seven (7) hectares of land garden in Gunjur said she ventured into agriculture because she wanted agriculture that will survive a dignified living, modernized with recognition.

She said her seven hectare of land consists of Cassava, Bananas, oranges, and lemon.

 

The young woman who is a graduate of economics from the United States said she has worked in many amazing places like IFC and the World Bank, but her heart was in agriculture, but with a different kind of agriculture, seeing mothers and sisters at the garden, for years trying but what she saw is not sufficient.

 

The Farm Manager, Saikou Dukureh revealed that the main problem they are faced with is having a tractor and a power tiller.

He said if they have this two, they will plow the entire garden. “The challenges we are faced with are materials because we don’t have enough farming material and we are depending more on manpower while we are looking for farming materials,” he said.
