Saikou jarju, National People’s Party’s candidate for Busumbala Constituency in the upcoming election has encouraged his opponents to give up and join him to develop the constituency.

“All what they are talking about I have done, it’s just a matter of continuation. When I came, I did an assessment of my community. If you start with health, I was able to convince and influence the government programs to be able to have some minor health facilities in my constituency which do not exist because half of a loaf is better than none. I make sure that they have easy access to a place where they can have first aid and then get rescued,” he said.

According to him, Busumbala is a village not a constituency. Also, it is too big the only nearest place that they go is Yundum, and Farato Busumbala has so many constraints but I have to convince the government to solve the health issue by giving them a new health facility and an ambulance.

“National assembly member apart from your legislative functions your other function is to influence the programs of the government by bringing the issue of your constituency. Meaning you should know the issues of your constituency at a fingerprint and I know the problems of my constituency at my fingerprint. Health facilities are a national problem we all complain saying it is non-functional but not to the extent we are assuming it,” he added.

He said that his constituency is divided into two: you have the vulnerable and the less privileged one, adding that his constituency has problems all over and looking at communities behind the airport, they are highly vulnerable when it comes to the social needs.

He is seeking re-election so that he can continue the program that he started with the government and call on the people of Busumbala to vote for him.
