Honorable Omar Ceesay, National Assembly member for Niamina East has urged the government to exercise justice by sharing development equally among constituencies across the country.

“I am not against any progress in this country despite I’m in different political party. I will always support any development wherever in this country because that is our duty and responsibility,” he said at the parliament.

Honorable Ceesay stated that the reality is that the supplementary appropriation budget was brought to the assembly and most of the members supported the document “and we have seen Hakalang road project, Kiang road project and Nianija road project. I have no problem because I’m considering all these projects as part of the national development.”

But he noted that it is very important for government to come up with alternatives to consider road construction for people of Niamina. “Because being an opposition should not deprive us from our right and I will be glad if the Ministry of Works is present here to hear my message,” he lamented.

According to him, the road that links Njie Kendal and Sunchu Alagie and connects to the main road has been neglected by the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure. And that road is at the center of the community.

“We must see how best we can prioritize things and not to concentrate on one area as we all have the right to freedom of expression,” he said.

He went further to challenge the Government to concentrate on the fundamental needs of the people of the country while he reiterated that Government should consider the Niamina people and assist them.

More of the challenges facing the people Niamina are water and he explained the bad condition of the type of water available for drinking which he said it is very unhealthy to the life of the residents of the community.
