AlhagieFoon, ward council of Janjanbureh, Central River Region, has been dragged to BansangMagistrate Court on Monday for allegedly insulting the region’s deputy governor during official in a conference meeting; The Voice has been reliably informed.
A close source to the matter said MrFoon insulted Omar Sey during a meeting, adding councilor Foon was asked to leave the conference immediately which he insisted to.
“Later on, the station officers of the Janjanbureh Police Station warrant his arrest. He was arrested by junior police officer. Upon his arrival to the police station, he was charged with three counts,” the source further said. But the source could not confirm the counts of charges he was handed.
Meanwhile, this medium has tried to reach the police spokesperson to confirm the case but no avail at the time going to press.
