A Sweden-based Gambian human rights activist, who has been campaigning and facilitating the repatriation of stranded 45 Gambian women in Lebanon, has said her primary goal is to ensure the group of women are safely repatriated back to The Gambia.
Mrs Lovette Jallow’s reactions come days after The Gambia government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied working with her in bringing the group of the stranded Gambian women home from Lebanon, where they have been held under siege for months.
Speaking to The Voice on Thursday, Mrs Lovette Jallow said: “I keep my eye on the end goal and that is to repatriate our sisters and their children. Nothing else and no statement anyone makes matters to me until they are safe back in The Gambia.”
