Gambian Rights Activist Recovered From Coronavirus

Human rights activist and political commentator, Madi Jobarteh, on Tuesday recovered from coronavirus disease after being in self-isolation for weeks at his home.

The rights advocate last month contracted the virus disease but said then despite being tested positive for Covid-19 that he has no symptom of the disease.Dozens of people have been since praying for him get over the disease in the soonest time.

“I am Covid Free! Alhamdulilah. Text from Ministry of Health: “Your Covid-19 test performed in Wester 1 is Negative”. Thank you all for prayers, best wishes & guidance! The task of nation building continues unabated! Forward…,” he said on his social media page.

Mr Jobarteh is seen as a staunch critic of the government, as well as one of the country’s brave activists for his incessant criticism in holding the state office bearers to account.
